We took the plot mechanic and put it into the real world. 90% of the budget was channelled into digital media with a special emphasis on mobile activity to amplify the film’s theme and reach our audience through the communication channel most often used. A WAP site to house free OMC content, including the ring tone featured, was created. The film’s first 3 minutes were shown exclusively on MySpace’s Trailer Park page OMC was also integrated into successful online soap Kate Modern, where Kate’s demise is recorded on voicemail for her friend to listen to. PHD delivered the trailer to 4 million of the target audience online, driving a 27% increase in awareness.
